More About Me...

I've taught 7th and 8th grade PreAP and Regular English for over 20 years. It was only after much trepidation and procrastination that I finally earned a Masters in Educational Technology in 2010. If only I had known that it wouldn't be as daunting as I originally thought, I would have done it sooner. Technology is so embedded in classrooms now, so waiting wasn't such a bad choice.

There's More...

I enjoy integrating technology into the classroom and introducing Web 2.0 tools. -- and hope you find some useful resources here. I am always on the lookout for new and exciting as well as functional lessons. Recently, I've been creating interactive files to use with my Interactive Smartboard.

Literature

Some best practice examples of blogging you can summarize in your reflective blog include teacher communication and delivery of content Dialog Generation Student Blogs/Student Works (Literary Analysis)ü Digital Storytelling.

Some of the best practice choices and/or personal visions would be to provide updated for parents and students including calendar. Content management systems allow for the creation, management, distribution, publishing and discovery of information. Manage sites that have good structure, appealing interface and navigation. Interactive – allows students to organize information in a mind-map, attach hyperlinks to online information, turn in assignments electronically and create their own easily updated content.

In considering personal visions for this tool's use, I would like to provide more interactive opportunities for students to respond to topics we study in class. In addition, posting students multimedia projects such as digital storytelling, classroom podcasts, book reviews, media analysis etc.
